1. Welcome to Casa Yoyosa – Your joyful home away from home

Dear guest,

Welcome to Casa Yoyosa, my little piece of paradise in beautiful Javea. I’m so happy you’re here.

This place was born from a dream.
A place to slow down, reconnect, and simply be.

Whether you’re here for a short holiday, a longer recharge, or a season of personal growth, I hope you’ll feel not just at home, but truly at peace here.

Make yourself comfortable.
Enjoy long mornings with coffee on the terrace.
Feel free to explore the beautiful beaches and secret coves nearby.
Or do absolutely nothing for a while, sometimes, that’s exactly what the soul needs.

Inside this guest guide you’ll find all kinds of helpful information. From practical tips to personal recommendations, from where to get the best food to how to find a good English-speaking doctor (just in case 😉).

And of course… if you need anything or have a question, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.

For now, I invite you to let the days stretch.
To soak up the beauty around you.
And to reconnect with the most important person in your life: you.

5. My favorite beaches & calas – where the magic happens

One of the biggest gifts of staying in Javea…
The sea. The light. The little hidden coves.
Every beach here has its own vibe – from lively and vibrant to quiet and wild. Here's a list of my personal favorites, including the best times to go and what to expect.

Let yourself be guided by joy… and saltwater.

🌴 Playa del Arenal

Best for: families, restaurants, beach bars, people-watching
📍 Javea's main sandy beach – flat, lively, very accessible
✅ Sunbeds, toilets, playgrounds, shops
🍽 Surrounded by great restaurants and cafés
💡 Tip: Perfect for an easy, fun beach day. Go early in summer if you want a spot in the shade.

🪨 Cala Granadella

Best for: snorkeling, nature, wow-factor views
📍 Surrounded by cliffs and pine forest
🌊 Crystal clear water, rocky bottom – bring water shoes
🚗 Limited (paid) parking – arrive before 9:00 am in high season to find a parking space
💡 Tip: One of the most beautiful calas in Spain – and one of the busiest. Worth the early start!

🐚 Cala Portitxol (La Barraca)

Best for: iconic blue doors, dreamy photos, chill vibe
📍 White fishermen’s houses, turquoise water, Instagram-perfect
🚶‍♀️ Short hike down from the parking area
🍴 Restaurant La Barraca is a local favorite (book ahead)
🚗 Limited (paid) parking – arrive before 9:00 am in high season
💡 Tip: Great for sunrise and kayaking. A true hidden gem.

🌊 Cala Blanca

Best for: peace & quiet, nature lovers
📍 A lesser-known, smaller cove with white rocks
🚶‍♀️ Small hike to reach – wear good shoes
💡 Tip: Bring your own picnic and enjoy total serenity.

🪁 Playa La Grava

Best for: a quick dip, walkable from the port
📍 Pebble beach with deep blue water and mountain views
🍦 Nice cafés and ice cream spots nearby
💡 Tip: Ideal for an evening stroll or sunset swim. Bring your watershoes!

🐠 Cala Ambolo (Currently Closed Due to Safety – Check Locally)

📍 Used to be a nude beach with beautiful wild views
💡 Ask around if it's reopened – if so, it’s spectacular but steep and rugged.

🌟 Beach Tips

  • Bring water shoes – many calas are rocky
  • No lifeguards at most calas – swim safely
  • Some beaches have no shops/toilets – bring water & snacks
  • Protect the beauty: take your trash with you, leave only footprints
  • Parking can be tricky in high season – go early or rent a bike/scooter

10. Before you leave

Time always moves differently here. Maybe it felt like an eternity. Or just a flash of light, sand, and wine. Either way, it was a pleasure to have you here!

Check-out Checklist

Before you go, here are a few practical things:

  • 🕚 Check-out time is before 10:00 (unless we agreed otherwise)
  • 🧹 Please leave the apartment in a broom-clean condition – no need to deep clean!
  • ❄️ Please turn off the air conditioning, lights and ventilators in every room
  • 🧺 Leave all used towels in the bathroom
  • 🍽 Make sure the dishwasher and fridge are clean and empty
  • 🗑 Take out all rubbish and empty plastic bottles, and drop them in the containers at the entrance of El Rafalet (bottom of the road)
  • 🗝 Return the keys to me or my local contact upon checkout
  • 💡 If something broke during your stay – no worries! Just let me know

💌 Share the Joy

If you loved your stay, I’d be so grateful if you’d leave a review or a message in the guestbook. Just a few words about your experience can help others find their way here and bring a little extra joy to my day too.

🔁 Want to Come Back?

Many guests return year after year, some even stay for weeks or months in winter to escape the cold and reconnect. If you’re curious about:

  • A longer stay to recharge
  • A sabbatical season in the sun
  • Or even a private retreat with coaching (just a small group of women, the sea, and your dreams)

… send me a message or check www.yoy4life.com

💛 One Last Invitation

Before you go, take a moment to pause.
Stand on the terrace.
Look at the sky.
Feel the warmth of this place in your body, in your heart.
And ask yourself:

What do I want to take home with me from this trip, into my life?

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for your presence, your footsteps, your laughter, your stillness.
Casa Yoyosa is more joyful because you’ve been part of it.

Until we meet again…🌞

Warm regards,
Yolanda
